I took part in Preston Swimming Club's Level 3 gala recently. I concentrated on doing Butterfly and Backstroke this time. I got lots of personal best times and also got a bronze medal in the 200 m butterfly.

Manchester and Bolton Swimming Association Competition September/October 2013
Just completed this competition and loads of personal bests, especially in 200 m butterfly. Think I did well apart from having to drop out of the 50 m butterfly yesterday as Caitlin Armstrong sat on my finger and it got cut really badly. Wasn't allowed to swim then :-(

National Swimming Finals - Saturday, 15 June 2013
National Swimming Finals - by Mrs Gough
Our Year 6 Beardwood Bank swimmers reached the finals of the English Schools’ Competition which took place on Saturday, 15 June 2013. Up against stiff competition, our team put in a huge amount of effort and only missed out on the finals for the Medley Relay by 0.06 of a second! This made them really determined for the Freestyle Relay – where after the heats their time was the 10th fastest in the whole country!!!
Our team qualified for the ‘b’ final, where they finished in 4th place – narrowly missing out on 3rd by 0.01 of a second!
Taking our best times from the competition we are the 17th fastest for Medley relay in the country and 10th fastest for Freestyle Relay. Amazing considering the size of our school!
Well done to our swimmers: Emily Berry, Charlotte Cootes, Eloise Littlefair and Molly Robinson-Taylor.
